Blue Skies Campsite

Stiffkey Road, Wells-next-the-Sea, Wells-next-the-Sea NR23 1QB, UK

Small independent campsite on Stiffkey Road, on the edge of Wells-next-the-Sea

About Blue Skies Campsite

Blue Skies Campsite tucks itself neatly on the edge of Wells-next-the-Sea, close enough to walk into town for crab sandwiches on the quay yet far enough from the bustle to retain a relaxed, rural feel across its open pitches. This is camping done simply and well: a smaller, family-run alternative to the big beachfront holiday parks, aimed squarely at tents, tourers and campervans after a straightforward, well-kept stay rather than a leisure complex. The on-site shop covers camping essentials, cold drinks and ice creams, while a shepherd's hut and camp shack cater for those arriving without canvas.

Its position on Stiffkey Road means the beach, Pinewoods and harbour are all within easy walking or cycling distance, and the quiet lanes toward Stiffkey and Warham open up gentle inland routes for anyone wanting to explore beyond the coast. The more compact scale and independent character suit couples and small groups looking for uncomplicated camping with everything Wells offers close at hand.

Ok where to start. The staff !!! Well if you want nice Friendly welcoming helpful staff you will find them here, Chris and Pat are always happy to chat or help.Although Chris didn’t seem to want to put my tent up for me. Showers !!! Extremely clean always hot water. Toilet blocks!!! Again extremely clean plenty of toilet rolls, soap and paper towels Yes it is a family site so there will be children playing and there is an nice Little playground in the centre of the site For kids to play.Obviously they may get loud, but Chris and Pat keep them under control. The shotgun sometimes helps “ joking “ 10pm yes there is a 10pm curfew and the multiple times we have stayed the site is always quiet and the curfew has been respected which helps if you’re trying to get kids to sleep or you’re not a party animal. The pitches are a good size and the site is always immaculate. Dogs are welcomed as long as they are kept on a lead. Except when mine”Lola “ escapes and decides to run off to the shop to find Chris or Do zoomies around the site. Yes the campsite is next to a busy road during the day and bikes do like to race up it, but not really much the site can do about that. I don’t understand people with the negative feedback but each person has their own opinions. But I would and have recommended this site to friends and family, and everyone loved its laid back friendly atmosphere. And if your a single parent and want to take your child to somewhere you feel safe and welcomed I also recommend it for you. In short after this long review 🤪 great Campsite friendly staff and clean. Give it a try you will want to go back.

Lovely site with good facilities. We were able to arrive and pitch up late notice on our bikes. Nice choice of generous pitches. We were grateful to the owner or manager for making us a coffee when we packed up our bikes in the morning. As others have said, short walk into town. Is near the road but this was quiet at night 🌙. Thank you

I am so happy I found this campsite! Chris was really welcoming, he works his socks to keep everyone happy and the facilities clean and tidy. Camping pitches were in more than satisfactory sizes, grass cut, there's play area for kiddos, you can rent a fire pit and buy logs too. Campsite is just a short leap from Wells and you can either walk by the streed or take offroad trail. Hot water in showers, not so hot in washing station but we didn't mind. We really enjoyed our stay, even though both mornings were really frosty 😄 In my last words, be mindful that there's a light railway station nearby, they operate on weekends using steam engine so they burning coal and we ended up in smog.

Absolutely fantastic site just a few minutes walk away from Wells next the Sea Town centre, large plots that fit everything you need. Clean toilets and showers and a shop on site for essentials. One other thing is the honesty from them, I due to a typo on my part had paid too much for our stay. They rectified this on arrival and I didn't even know a mistake had been made. Top class
