About The Waterfront Bed & Breakfast

The Waterfront Bed & Breakfast sits just yards from Wells quay, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and has built a strong local reputation for its combination of comfortable, modern rooms and genuinely attentive hospitality. Bedrooms come with en suite bathrooms and views across the creek and surrounding marshes, finished to a noticeably higher standard than the traditional seaside B&B. Breakfast is a particular strength, built around local ingredients including artisan sausages, smoked salmon and fresh fruit, served with the same care as the rest of the stay. Free wi-fi and a genuinely warm welcome from the owner round out a property that punches well above its size. Its position close to the harbour puts guests within a short stroll of the quay's restaurants, fish and chip shops and boat trips, making it a strong option for a couple wanting a boutique feel without a full hotel price tag.

I stayed at this lovely B&B for 6 nights in June and enjoyed every second of it. It was so peaceful and a perfect getaway from life. The best part was the hospitality from Lehr (and Steve) as they were so accommodating and helpful and made my trip even more enjoyable. So much so that I already booked again for next year! The breakfasts were outstanding and loved seeing the adorable two pups each day! The views of the sea and the most gorgeous garden were breathtaking. The sunsets were magnificent! The area itself is a delight with so many food options and land/sea excursions. I had the room on the top floor which was so comfortable and the living room for guests was such a bonus, especially the balcony. I brought back a few take-out meals and sat on the balcony just enjoying the view of the boats passing by on the sea. Watching the tides change the landscape through the day was amazing. The entire place was spotless and such a quiet location. I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Waterfront B&B.

An amazing place to stay. Our room looked out over the marshes and it was fascinating seeing the change in water level as the tide changed. Our bed was very comfortable. We had use of a guest lounge on the first floor with a balcony and sat watching incredible sunsets. Breakfast was wonderful and presented beautifully. We will definitely stay there again.

Our first visit to The Waterfront. A lovely warm welcome from Lehr, who showed us out top floor room. The view from the window gives uninterrupted views of the marshes and closer by, the day trippers enjoying paddling in pools of water left at low tide. We enjoyed a relaxing drink on the first floor veranda. The breakfasts are truly special and very well presented. Lehr is wonderfully laid back We had such fun and will be sure to visit the Waterfront again.

Our first time visit to Well’s, and what a fantastic find… The Waterfront…. We were totally spoiled….Splendid breakfasts, the yummy yogurt 10⭐️ mixed fruit bowl up there with the yoghurt, full English breakfast yes please! And then you have the marvellous sitting room and balcony to watch the coming and going of the tides boats, paddle boards & swimmers. We had the kingsized bedroom, with everything you’d need, fridge, teas, coffees, fresh milk, very comfortable but best of all, we loved Lehr, what a fantastic lady and Steve her partner, both so welcoming, a font of knowledge. Will we go back oh yes!
