Absolutely fantastic day! Father’s Day outing with my pops. Second time here and will keep coming back for more. Today we saw the engines steaming up - what a treat! The beauty and majesty of our industrial past in the hands of some extremely talented and knowledgeable volunteers. Loved every second!! Please, please visit one and all. Places like this totally worth every penny of support!

This is an absolutely fabulous view of the history of waterworks in London over the past centuries. Listening to parents explain to their children the importance of putting trash in a bin to keep it out of the rivers and water system gave me great hope for the future. This is a must see in London!

An interesting museum. Lots of history about the water supply in London over the centuries. Nice to see the machinery. Went on a week day and nothing was running. i think if the machines were running it would have been a 5 star experience but still interesting and worth a visit if you are in the area. lots of kids activities as well.

We absolutely love the London Museum of Water & Steam! We have been members for years and are regular visitors, and it genuinely remains one of our favourite places to take our son. There is so much for children to do. The Waterworks Gallery is wonderfully interactive and makes learning about water, science and engineering genuinely fun, while the Splash Zone is always a huge hit - especially on a warm day! The garden is another lovely part of the museum and gives children space to explore, play and enjoy being outside. We can happily spend hours here. One of the biggest highlights for us is the trains. The Train Days, with rides behind the museum’s steam locomotive Thomas Wicksteed, are always incredibly exciting, and we also love the model steam railway weekends. The museum does such a brilliant job of bringing its history and engineering to life in a way that children can really engage with. What makes our membership particularly worthwhile, though, is that there is always something new to come back for. The programme during the school holidays is fantastic, with different themes, trails, crafts, workshops and hands-on activities throughout the year. We’ve enjoyed everything from train-themed activities and model railways to Easter trails, engineering challenges and water-themed summer activities. There is so much thought and creativity behind the children’s programme, and it means that no two visits feel quite the same. The Steam Up weekends are also brilliant and give children the opportunity to see some of the museum’s incredible historic engines brought to life. It is such a special place for children who are interested in trains, engines, water, science or simply love exploring and discovering how things work. Most importantly, the staff and volunteers are wonderful. They are always so friendly, enthusiastic and welcoming, and their passion for the museum really comes across. As regular visitors, we’ve always felt incredibly welcome. There is also a lovely cafe. We feel very lucky to have the London Museum of Water & Steam locally - our son has a fantastic time every time we visit. After years of membership and countless visits, we still find reasons to keep coming back. An absolutely brilliant museum for families and one we recommend all the time. We couldn’t love it more!
