Blease Cottage is a former farm worker's home dating back over 250 years, now restored as a self-catering base near Threlkeld in the Lake District. It sleeps three across two bedrooms—a double and a three-quarter double—with one bathroom containing a bath and shower. The cottage sits at the foot of Blencathra, five miles from Keswick, in countryside threaded with walking routes that range from gentle riverside paths into town to fell walks and climbs onto higher peaks.
Downstairs, the living and dining room has a smart TV, DVD and CD players, and a wood-burning stove. The kitchen is equipped for cooking: electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer dryer. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. There is parking for one car on site and a small front garden. Two pubs stand within a few minutes' walk, both dating to the 1680s and serving real ale and food. A shop is four miles away; Threlkeld village itself has a bus service to Keswick and Penrith. The cottage has open, steep and narrow stairs, and does not permit smoking.
