Bramblebank
Westmorland and Furness
Ambleside sits at the head of Lake Windermere with the Lake District fells rising immediately behind—Loughrigg Fell, Coniston and Fairfield all visible from here. The village itself is busy with walkers, climbers and tourists year-round; it has restaurants, pubs, shops and a genuine outdoor culture. Bramblebank occupies a slightly elevated spot on the original approach road into the centre, putting you within easy reach of all this without being in the thick of it.
The house is detached and modern, holding four bedrooms and three bathrooms across three floors, sleeping eight people. Two of the bedrooms have kingsize beds with ensuite showers; one has a double; one has two singles that can be zipped together. The living room and kitchen/dining room both open onto outdoor space—a balcony and an enclosed lawned garden with a patio and barbecue. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. Parking for two cars is on site.
Most windows frame views across the village toward the fells, and the garden is far enough back from the road to feel private. Windermere itself is half a mile south; Rothay Park, with its children's play area and tennis courts, is within walking distance. Walking trails leave directly from the property. The place suits families or groups wanting the convenience of the village without sacrificing garden space or views, and the road position means you can be on a proper fell walk or down at the water in minutes.
