The Hollies is a traditional end-of-terrace cottage built from local stone, positioned on the lower slope of Wansfell within easy walking distance of Ambleside. Two steps lead to the entrance. Inside, the ground floor contains a living and dining room with an open fire, TV, DVD and CD player, plus a kitchen equipped for proper cooking – electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge all present. Upstairs, a single double bedroom (4ft 6in) and bathroom with bath and shower complete the layout.
The essentials are covered: bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are included, so you arrive to a ready home. Logs for the fire are available locally. On-road parking is provided outside. One well-behaved pet stays free. The cottage does not permit smoking indoors.
Ambleside bus interchange (Stand 1) is a short walk away, and a pub sits within a mile. The village itself offers shops and cafés; the rest of the Lake District is within a short drive.
