The ground floor flows into a kitchen/dining space fitted with a full range of appliances including dishwasher and washer-dryer, making self-catering straightforward. A flexible first bedroom downstairs—with both a single and a three-quarter double bed—means the layout adapts to different group sizes, while upstairs a king bedroom with its own shower room and a twin room with shared facilities complete the three-bedroom setup. The cottage sleeps six across its rooms.

Threlkeld sits at the foot of Blencathra with immediate access to fell walking. The village has two pubs nearby, including the Horse & Farrier, plus a tea room in the village hall. The property has an enclosed garden where you can sit out, and parking is on the road outside. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and initial logs for the wood burner are included; heating on the first floor is by convector. The cottage is no smoking throughout.
