Threlkeld sits within the Lake District National Park, positioned on the lower slopes of Blencathra with walking routes and fells at hand. The Horse & Farrier pub is nearby for meals without cooking. Garden Cottage dates from around 1700 and retains period features including stone flags and beamed ceilings on the ground floor. The kitchen-diner is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher—though the pub alternative means you needn't spend all your time at the stove. A woodburner in the living room suits cooler evenings, and there is a Smart TV for downtime.
Upstairs holds three bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed, two with twin singles. The single bathroom has a bath with shower overhead and heated towel rail. The property sleeps six and is yours alone—the whole place to yourself. An enclosed garden with seating and furniture faces south, useful for a dog if you bring one along. Parking for one car is at the rear. Bed linen, towels, wifi and electricity are all included. The access to the garden crosses a neighbour's private driveway on foot. No smoking inside.
