High Moor Cottage

High Moor Cottage sits down a private stone track in the Eden Valley, surrounded by open countryside that draws walkers and cyclists to the Pennines, Lake District and Scottish Borders. The cottage is detached and single-storey, with two double living spaces—one with a woodburner and the other quieter—a fitted kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Bedroom one has a double bed; bedroom two has two singles. Outside, there's a small garden with decked terrace and parking for two cars.

The essentials are covered: electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included, along with initial fuel for the woodburner. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and there's a selection of DVDs to watch. Travel cot and highchair are available. One dog stays free. The cottage overlooks woodland where birds visit feeders regularly, visible from the decking. Appleby is five minutes' drive away; the Lake District is thirty minutes. A pub and restaurant are about a mile off. No smoking in the cottage.
