Ingle Neuk Cottage
Westmorland and Furness
View on Google MapsIngle Neuk Cottage is a traditional stone building in Bowscale, a small hamlet at the edge of the Lake District National Park. Two bedrooms on the first floor sleep four guests—one double bed and two singles—with a bathroom containing a bath and shower. Downstairs, the living and dining space opens into a kitchen equipped for everyday cooking, and a lawned garden with seating faces the surrounding countryside. Parking is available for three cars opposite the property.
The cottage sits within reach of serious fell walking: paths lead directly from the door onto open moorland, and the broader network of footpaths and bridleways covers some distinctive terrain—including routes to Aira Force waterfall and up towards higher ridges. Cycling routes branch out across the region. For quieter days, Ullswater lies to the south, Rheged Discovery Centre and Penrith's historic attractions are accessible, and the Borders (with Hadrian's Wall) are reachable northward. A pub stands within a mile. The essentials are included: heating, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels. One dog or cat is welcome, and the property is yours alone. Note that smoking is not permitted.
