Milburn Grange - Holly Cottage

We booked for a week away as a family (including a pooch) and it was just what we needed. My wife and I have been here many years ago and loved it then and the friendliness, tranquility and beauty still do not disappoint. Located on the edge of the fells of the north Pennines this place is stunning with easy access to surrounding areas no matter what you are wanting to do. Whether you want to visit the lakes of the Lake District, shops and local business or walk the fells Milburn Grange is ideally situated to visit all. Set back away from the A66 the area is quiet and on lighter nights provides picturesque views of the surrounding valley. The number of cottages available are beautiful and comfy which is all you could really want. Plenty information was provided of things and places to go in surrounding areas by owner Russel & Debbie. Definitely a place we will be visiting again and the fact that the cottage is dog friendly with so many places allowing dogs inside we will definitely take him again too. Would recommend to all. Had a lovely stay in Helm Cottage for a long weekend with friends. 6 of us stayed and the cottage was big enough that we had lots of space. Also the 2 adults in the bunk bed rooms had no issues with the size at all. Debbie and Russell are lovely people and were very welcoming and offered us some local knowledge on where to eat and where to go for our day trips. The cottage itself was so clean and had everything we needed inside. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

We are just back from our holiday at Milburn Grange for the second consecutive year. This is a wonderful place to stay at – cottages are cosy and well equipped, there are so many wonderful places to go within minutes, Russel and Debbie are wonderful hosts and they happily go the extra mile to make you feel at home.

Beautiful apartments, we'll maintained and looked after. Location is perfect for quiet moments of relaxation and enjoy the starning natural beauty. Also ideal for nature walks or cycling.
