Park Road Cottage is a stone cottage that has been carefully restored while keeping some of its period character intact. The ground floor holds a living room with a bay window and a kitchen-diner where you can cook and eat together. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms—a king and a double—along with two bathrooms, one ensuite to the main bedroom. The property is yours alone, and you have a garden, parking on the road, and a garage with space for bikes and an extra fridge.

Walking distance takes you into Windermere town, where independent shops and cafes line the streets. A mile further on, Bowness sits at the lake's edge with more shops, The World of Beatrix Potter, and a cinema. Queen's Park, just away, has open ground for children and dogs. Lake Windermere itself offers cruises, ferries, kayaking and paddleboarding. For families, Go Ape and Brockhole are nearby; there are also museums, galleries and restaurants ranging from casual to Michelin-starred.

Essentials including wi-fi, heating, bed linen and towels are provided. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave for self-catering. A travel cot and highchair are available. One dog is welcome. Smoking is not permitted inside.
