The Abbey Coach House - The Coaches

Staveley Mill Yard sits within reach of Windermere and the surrounding Lakeland landscape. The Coaches is a two-bedroom conversion forming part of The Abbey Coach House grounds, recently renovated and arranged on a single floor. One bedroom has a double bed, the other two singles; there is one shower room. The living space includes a sitting room with a smart TV and electric woodburner, plus a separate dining room and kitchen equipped for proper cooking.

Bed linen, Wi-Fi and heating are included. The property sleeps four and comes with private parking for two cars, a garden with seating and a barbecue, and a bike store. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The grounds are shared with another cottage but The Coaches is yours alone during your stay. Smoking is not permitted inside.

Bowness sits roughly ten minutes' walk away, offering access to the lake itself and the shops, pubs and restaurants clustered around it. From here, the wider Lake District opens up: Ambleside is nearby, Wordsworth's home at Grasmere and Beatrix Potter's Hill Top at Sawrey are both within visiting distance. A pub sits less than a mile away, and the bus route and train station are accessible for those without a car.
