Greystoke village sits within reach of several of the Lake District's best-known spots. Ullswater is a seven-mile drive away, while Keswick and its surrounding fells lie twenty minutes further on. Hadrian's Wall, the Pennines and the Yorkshire Dales are all accessible for a day out, and a scatter of historic houses—Hutton in the Forest, Lowther Castle, Dalmain—sit within an easy drive. The village itself has an outdoor swimming pool (open late May to early September), a pub a minute's walk away, and quiet country lanes that draw cyclists and walkers.
The Barn is a one-bedroom property in a converted sandstone building, now renovated with oak fittings and a retained stone feature wall. The open-plan ground floor holds a living area with a woodburner, dining space and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher and all the usual appliances. Upstairs, a kingsize bed and a bathroom with roll-top bath and shower cubicle. You get the whole place to yourself, on-site parking, Wi-Fi, and heating via underfloor pellet system. Bed linen and towels are provided; electricity is included in the price. An electric car charging point is available at additional cost. Smoking is not permitted. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
