This lovely place has recently been taken over by Kirsty and Steve and they’ve done a fantastic job updating the rooms and sprucing the main pub/restaurant area. We were given a warm welcome and shown to our delightful rooms which were spotlessly clean and well presented. The bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant…traditional food but with the option of a lamb Balti on the specials menu so something for everyone. The service was excellent and the atmosphere in the pub was genial as visitors and locals alike enjoyed this gorgeous country pub in this quintessentially English village. Just perfect 😍Thank you so much…you’re doing a great job!!

New landlords who have only been in three weeks and have worked hard to get the pub back up and running. Called in at lunch for a quick drink and decided to book for an evening meal. This was the first night the kitchens had been reopened so, as such, only a small menu was available. 4 starters, 4 or 5 mains, a selection of pies and burgers. We order a burger and the gammon. Generous portions to say the least and the food was piping hot and tasty. Best of wishes to the team, we wish you continued success.

We booked a big table here very last minute But we were made welcome 🙏 Our group was large with fussy eaters in it 🙄 but the owner took it all in his stride , he made a couple of trips back to the table to ensure everything was upto standard and swap anything that wasn't right . This is a small county pub not a big chain restaurant with lots of staff, so hats off too them for dealing with us so professionally.
