The Garth

Larger groups and families will find The Garth works well for a week away. The detached sandstone house holds four bedrooms across two floors: three upstairs (a kingsize, a double, and a twin) and a ground-floor twin room. Three bathrooms—one with a bath and shower, two with shower cubicles—mean mornings run smoothly. The ground floor also contains the living room, dining room and a modern kitchen with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and everything needed to cook properly. A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer is tucked away separately, along with a wet room and toilet.

Penrith town centre is walkable from here, and there's a pub within a mile. On-site parking fits four cars, and there's a bike store if you want to explore further afield. The garden is tiered across different levels with a patio and seating, though it contains two unfenced ponds 5 yards from the house, and children under 6 cannot stay. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. No smoking is permitted. The property sleeps 8 and is yours alone for the duration.
