If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. From the moment we arrived, Catherine made us feel genuinely welcome. She is a fantastic host – friendly, attentive and always happy to help with local recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble. The guest house itself is absolutely beautiful, full of character and immaculately maintained. Our room was spotless, comfortable and thoughtfully presented, and the cleanliness throughout the property was exceptional. The location is perfect, with Windermere’s shops, restaurants and attractions all within easy walking distance, while still being peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast deserves a special mention. It was one of the best B&B breakfasts we have ever had – freshly cooked, excellent quality and a wonderful start to each day. What really sets The Haven apart is the attention to detail and the obvious pride Catherine takes in looking after her guests. It strikes the perfect balance between feeling professionally run and feeling like a home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return. If you’re visiting the Lake District, stop searching and book The Haven – you won’t be disappointed.

The most wonderfully clean, well presented, well decorated, comfortable place I’ve stayed in forever…Catherine is the most wonderful host and thinks of everything. A five star experience in the heart of the peaceful part of Windermere…we are looking forward to our next stay with joy….this is hospitality at its very, very best. The price is amazing and I feel so at home and comfortable I don’t way to go home. Thank you your effort and hard work shines through 🤗

This place was spotless clean, cozy, comfortable, and welcoming. Catherine was a gracious host, hospitable, and very kind. One of the very best B&B in Windermere Lake District. The breakfast she served every morning was scrumptious, aplenty, and freshly prepared. Literally we can't find any fault from this place. The room decors were tasteful, elegant, and lovely. Very highly recommended. A 12 out of 10 rating because it exceeds our expectation.

Worked super well for us. The host was super lovely and accommodating and the room was spacious and well maintained. We had parking which seemed rare in the location. Highly recommended for a city stay in Windermere. Most of our excursions were 30-45mins from the location. The food served in breakfast was great too. There were enough options to pick from.
