The air conditioning is always set too low. The movie starts a full 30 minutes after the stated time due to endless adverts. The escalator never seems to work and sounds is so heavy on the bass you can hardly hear any speech. Apart from that is was fine.

Vue Oxford is a great cinema located near Kassam Stadium. Big screens, comfortable seating and solid sound quality make it a really enjoyable place to watch a film. I saw the new F1 movie there today and had a fantastic experience. It’s honestly disappointing to hear rumours that this site might be closed down to make room for laboratories. Taking away leisure spaces like this feels like a step in the wrong direction – people in Oxford deserve places to relax and enjoy themselves. I really like this cinema and would be sad to see it go.

Absolutely disgusting customer service at Vue Cinema Oxford. I have never felt so humiliated and uncomfortable in a cinema before. On one occasion, I accidentally spilled a drink on myself and instead of showing basic professionalism or courtesy, members of staff were laughing at me, specifically a guy with nose ring. Another time, while I was simply looking at the menu deciding what to order, a male staff member started loudly shouting from behind me multiple times that “there’s another till free.” The tone was rude, aggressive, and completely unnecessary. I was not blocking anyone or causing any issue, I was literally just deciding what to buy, i wasn’t even in the queue. The overall attitude from staff at this cinema is shockingly disrespectful and unprofessional. Customers should not be mocked, shouted at, or made to feel uncomfortable while spending money there. I honestly expected far better from Vue. The behaviour from the male staff member with the nose ring in particular was unbelievably rude and arrogant. If this is how customers are treated regularly, management seriously needs to retrain their staff on basic manners and customer service. One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in Oxford, and I will not be returning.

Hasn't been good for a long time, but lately there seems to be no actual attentiveness to cleanliness of the venue, maintenance of speakers in some screens, staff are generally unmotivated. Hygiene standards of the toilets are sub par, nearing unusable. Massive shame but there are plenty better venues including the UPP, the Phoenix and the Curzon. Don't bother trekking into Cowley for this.
