We had the most wonderfull time at this hotel. The staff members are exceptional—incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind. The location is absolutely perfect. It is right in the center of everything, yet we experienced no street noise at all. It's also lovely to hear the Minster! Our room was spacious, as was the bathroom, and both the beds and chairs were very comfortable. The only minor downside was the soundproofing between the rooms, as we could often hear the television from our neighbours. However, this wouldn't stop us from coming back. It is a lovely hotel and we would return in a heartbeat!

Our second stay at this lovely hotel located nearby York Minster. The family room was spotless and comfortable. The superb choice of food at breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious. Our sincere thanks to all the staff for their friendly and efficient service. It’s clear that they take great pride in ensuring an excellent customer experience. Special mention to Beata on reception for her warm welcome and local guidance which was invaluable. We are booked to return and look forward to our next stay. No hesitation in recommending the Dean Court, it has to be one of, if not, the best hotels in York.

The best stay I've had in a year. Best location in York for exploring. Great breakfast. We had a fire alarm in the middle of the night...everyone out....fire brigade arrive. Took them 15 minutes to arrive.😲 It turned out someone was smoking in the room.🤬

From the moment we arrived, our experience at Dean Court was outstanding. We were warmly welcomed and pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a beautiful room. Before taking us upstairs, the manager personally showed us around the hotel, which immediately set the tone for the level of care and attention they give their guests. He then walked us to our room and took the time to explain how everything worked — a thoughtful touch that made us feel instantly at home. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and offered a stunning view of the Minster, which made our stay feel even more special. Every member of staff we encountered — from reception to the bar and restaurant — was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. Their warmth and attentiveness made the whole experience seamless and enjoyable. Dean Court is a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and location. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
