Photos say it all. Doesn't feel good to leave a bad review but since the overall rating is so high, think some honesty on the condition of the room I stayed in, at least, needs to be shared. The bed was actually very comfy! But the room was extremely hot and windows can't be kept open overnight because of the road noise.

I had to spend 2 nights in York, staying somewhere with wifi and parking. This hotel has that and more, though it needed the owner's directing skills to fit my long wheel base vehicle into a space as the car park was nearly full when I arrived. The wifi is fast enough for clear Teams meetings and download speeds are very good. I could hear people pass in the corridor, but there was no sound coming into my room from other rooms or bathrooms. The unexpected bonuses are that the city centre is a comfortable walk away along quiet footpaths and narrow streets until you reach the old city walls, and the breakfast is excellent. The toast is soft on the inside, crisp on the outside and still hot when it comes to the table.

Brilliant stay, amazing service from check-in through to breakfast and checkout. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay great from making sure the rooms were well stocked, to catering your every need at breakfast and followed by a chilled out check-out. Parking is also available at the property with a 15 minute walk to the City center. Would easily book to stay here again.

Absolutely loved my stay here. Firstly, the owner was very friendly and welcoming. Secondly, the rooms were really clean, warm and cosy. Thirdly, the breakfast was the best. Everything was freshly cooked and the service was great too. To top it off, only a 15 min walk from the city centre. Would definitely look to stay there again when I next visit York.
