Warm welcome when we arrived. Room was very spacious. Bed very comfortable. Only a 10 - 15 minute walk into yourk. Breakfast was lovely. And to top it off we was able to go into York for another afternoon and stay parked by the B&B until there next check in was arriving in the afternoon

We were delighted with our spontaneous stay at Number 34! Our little family needed a last-minute hotel for the night and stumbled upon this central property. The spacious, clean, and comfortable family room was a great fit for us. As an added bonus, the delicious full English breakfast (plus fruit, cereals, yoghurts, and more) was all included, and there was even free parking when booking directly! This was a significant saving compared to the dreadful chain hotels that lacked the charm and space of this place. Robert, our incredibly helpful host was great. We will definitely be back again!

What a brilliant find!! We stayed in the 4 person room that has 2 single and 1 double bed. Room was clean and well presented. We advised we would atrive late and this wasnt an issue. As we booked direct on their site we got the best price and parking was free, which was an extra on other sites. Such a bargain to have the room and breakfast for 4. Only feedback we gave was the room was way too hot so we turned the radiators down and had the window open all night. We would book here 100% again without hesitation.

I stayed at Number 34 for a year-end solo trip to York in December 2025. My room was really cosy and comfortable, and the host Jason made sure I was well settled in. They served a tasty and super filling full English breakfast that was included with my room booking. Being only a few minutes walk from the York train station and city centre, the place is really well located. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Number 34, and I'd certainly recommend choosing it for your visit to York.
