What guests say
Super convenient for central Aberdeen. Across from the rail and bus station. Dated, but clean. No lift; stairs only. Avoid thecwestcrooms if there on a Friday or Saturday night; the adjacent club hosts loud karaoke sing-alongs.

Dated hotel, no lift, little to no sound isolation, you can hear all the street traffic including the karaoke bar next door. One key opens all... We even had someone come in ... Only good things were the lady at reception was very friendly, room was clean and it's right next to both bus & train station. Would I stay again? Highly unlikely.

Imagine a dilapidated cross between Dracula's castle and a trap house, with recalcitrant stains and buggyness. Even the Ghosts do not want to be here. Peter Cushing lurks the cramped corridors. AND you have to walk up like 12 floors and there's one staff member. The overlook hotel for anhedonic Gen-xers. Location's ok tho.

Two of us booked a 2-night stay. We arrived mid-morning, rang the bell, and were able to leave our luggage before check-in. There is no real lobby, but we didn't need one. Yes, there is a 2nd door to unlock before going upstairs, which felt like a safe option. We were upgraded to a family room with bunk beds and a queen bed. We loved having a corner room with views out to the harbor. I was quiet, clean, and spacious. The shower had great pressure and hot water. The place has personality; it's so close to food and entertainment. For folks on a budget, we would like to keep our money with the locals rather than a cookie-cutter chain. We had a lovely and memorable time.
