Deeside Woodland Lodges - Lodge A

Muir of Dinnet Nature Reserve is on your doorstep here—a wetland and moorland expanse threaded with woodland where you can spot red squirrels, pine martens and numerous bird species from the observation hides. The reserve's signature feature is Burn-o-Vat, a granite amphitheatre carved by glaciers, where water echoes strangely through the rock. The lodge itself sits within the grounds of Loch Kinord Hotel, so a restaurant and bar are a short walk away if cooking feels like too much effort.

Lodge A is a detached property with everything on the ground floor: two bedrooms (one double, one twin), a bathroom with shower over the bath, and an open-plan living space that combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher, so you can cook properly if you want to. Bed linen, towels, heating, electricity and Wi-Fi are included. There's private parking for two cars and a bike store. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The grounds have a shared BBQ area; smoking is not permitted inside.

The location opens up a wider landscape of outdoor activities—the Cairngorms themselves for hiking and mountain biking, Glenshee and the Lecht for skiing in winter, plus fishing, pony trekking and archery nearby.
