Royal Deeside Woodland Lodges- Lodge C

The Cairngorms and Deeside draw walkers and nature enthusiasts to this part of Aberdeenshire year-round. Royal Deeside Woodland Lodges - Lodge C sits within the grounds of Loch Kinord Hotel, immediately backing onto Muir of Dinnet Nature Reserve. The reserve itself is a patchwork of wetlands, moorland and woodland where you might spot red squirrels, pine martens and numerous bird species, with hides positioned throughout for watching wildlife. The Burn-o-Vat, a stream flowing through a dramatic granite bowl carved by glaciers, is among the reserve's most striking features.

The lodge is a detached timber building sleeping four across two bedrooms: one double and one with twin singles. Ground floor living combines the kitchen, dining and sitting areas in an open plan, with a Smart TV and electric fire. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with an oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher. Bathroom has a bath with shower over. Electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included. Private parking for two cars is on site, along with a bike store. One dog is welcome. The grounds are shared with other properties; there is a BBQ available.

Close by, Ballater has shops, cafes and restaurants with royal connections. The reserve is also within reach of fishing, pony trekking, mountain biking and skiing at the Lecht and Glenshee. The hotel's restaurant and bar are accessible to guests if you prefer not to cook. No smoking inside the lodge.
