About Upper Neatham Mill
Rooms at Upper Neatham Mill come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks provided, set within a converted 17th-century barn on the riverside just outside Alton. The building's age shows in the best way, with exposed beams and a character that a modern build simply can't replicate, while guests still get free WiFi, room service and the practical comforts expected of a well-run B&B.
Breakfast is served in an oak-beamed room that forms the heart of the property, and outside there's a garden, picnic area and outdoor seating for making the most of the riverside setting. This is an adults-only address, which lends itself to a quieter, more restful stay, and facilities such as 24-hour reception, luggage storage and free on-site parking take care of the practical side. An electric vehicle charge point is also available.
Alton itself is close by, and a golf course, pubs, restaurants and other entertainment can all be found nearby, making it easy to fill the days without straying far. It's a good base for those wanting Hampshire countryside on the doorstep with a proper place to eat and sleep at the end of it.

I stayed for three nights and loved everything about this hotel. Spotlessly clean and very spacious room with lovely large bathroom and shower on suite. Beautiful location and grounds and delicious home cooked breakfast. Glen, the owner, went out of his way to be helpful and friendly. The WiFi was nice and fast. I would highly recommend.

Just the perfect spot to stay versus crappy pubs and awful chain hotels/motels. Pricing is really fair and rooms/location could not be better. Great showers and very clean well appointed rooms. Our host Glen was really accommodating. Homemade breakfast to order. Learnt how to make the perfect poached eggs. Don't miss out on this lovely spot. Highly recommended. Gisele and Jeremy

What a wonderful place! The host came out to greet me and carried my bag to the room. He gave me the nickel tour of the place and offered suggestions for food in the area. The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is fantastic, the best I've had in England. Oh, then there's the pond, the flowers, the lazy cats outside, as well as the goats, geese and sheep along the lane. Idyllic.
