We had a wonderful two night stay here. The owners, Dave and Angie, were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about local walks/things to do. The room was spacious and clean with tea/coffee making facilities, the bed was extremely comfortable. Cooked breakfast was top notch and used good local ingredients, cereal/yogurts/fruit also available. We will definitely return, the perfect B&B.

Dave and Angie are perfect hosts, their friendly and accommodating attitude is a breath of fresh air. The rooms are very clean and made up daily. The full English breakfast is a brilliant way to start the day along with the friendly conversation with the hosts about the local area (their knowledge is better than Google) I would highly recommend a stay at Claremont House.

Had a fantastic stay at the Claremont House B&B. Dave & Angie were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and had just what we needed for a 2 night stay. Breakfast was delicious and a great selection with very fast service. Location is perfect, right in Ambleside with short walks to lots of pubs/restaurants. Will definitely be recommending to friends & family and will be looking to book here again (when the weather is a bit better!!)

Stayed here over half term after lockdown eased. We parked in the local church car park which was recommended by the owners. It was fine and easily accessible. The owners were very welcoming and provided plenty of advice on walks and places to eat. The breakfast was excellent. The family room at the top of the house was big enough for the 4 of us, although it we were warned it was hot and it was. There was a fan to use but we opened the window. This meant we were woken by local traffic quite early, but then who needs a lie in. Would recommend for a family anytime.
