Monreith
Westmorland and Furness
Monreith stands on Ambleside's main street, a renovated stone cottage where original stripped floorboards sit alongside contemporary comforts. The ground floor holds a living room with TV and gas fire, a separate dining room centred on a wood burner, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. A utility room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a king bed, the other with two singles. The bathroom features a roll-top bath and separate shower cubicle.
Everything needed for self-catering is provided: bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, and heating throughout. An enclosed courtyard garden at the rear has furniture; one car parks on site. The location works for walkers heading straight onto the fells, or for those content to explore the village itself—shops, pubs and restaurants are within a hundred yards. One dog can stay with you. The property is non-smoking.
