Forest Cottage

Forest Cottage comes with everything needed for a week away sorted. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are included. The kitchen is properly set up for cooking, and there's a sun porch with sea views where you can sit with a drink afterwards. A single-storey layout with three bedrooms and two bathrooms means six people can spread out comfortably without feeling cramped.

The cottage sits just below Ardmaddy Castle, overlooking a field that slopes down to the bay. This stretch of the Argyll coast attracts otters, porpoises, eagles and seals if you're patient enough to watch. The National Scenic Areas around Seil Sound are a short walk away. Oban, with its harbourside restaurants and ferry links to the islands, is twelve miles distant. Locally you can fish the stocked hill loch, hire a boat, use the castle's tennis court, or set out on the forest tracks for cycling and walking. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Smoking is not permitted inside.
