About Best Western Limpley Stoke Hotel
Best Western Limpley Stoke Hotel suits travellers after a peaceful base outside Bath rather than a city-centre address, with the Avon Valley spread out below and the countryside close at hand. It works well for anyone visiting on a slower pace, whether that's a couple wanting a restful few nights, walkers using the surrounding paths, or families needing more space than a town hotel offers.
The hotel has 60 rooms across three floors, including family and accessible options, all with en-suite bathrooms and the usual comforts of room service, drinks in room and free WiFi. Some rooms show their age and won't suit guests wanting a slick, modern finish, but they're kept clean and comfortable. Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar serving food that's consistently well regarded, along with a garden and outdoor seating for taking in the views, plus meeting rooms and business services for those combining work with the stay.
Outside, the area offers walking routes, fishing, horse riding and a golf course nearby, along with pubs and restaurants within easy reach for evenings out. Free on-site parking is provided, though space can be tight at busy times. It's a straightforward, well-situated hotel for those who value setting and quiet over polish.

Wedding review On the 25th July we got married here and I highly recommend! From the moment we enquired into this venue they were incredibly responsive and professional. We started our journey here with a meeting with the wedding manager Karen who is truly exceptional, she was very informative making sure we contacted the correct registry offices ect. In the lead up to our wedding we had multiple meetings with Karen who helped us shape our special day pointing us in the right direction using her vast experience. Karen made this planning process for the venue easy, effortless and as stress free as possible. On the morning of our wedding Karen and the team at the Limply Stoke were on hand to make sure our vision was created perfectly. Karen made sure that not only everything was in place before the guests had arrived but that I wasn't too stressed and that I took time to breath before it all started. As often happens there were issues that arose on the day however Karen jumped in swiftly finding a solution to ensure that our day stayed on track and we could have a beautiful day. Karen and the team were there every step of the way ensuring that our special day was truly special! The hotel itself as a venue is set in a beautiful location and we were fortunate enough with the weather to have an outdoor ceremony that was perfect. We had a fair amount of our family/friends stay the night and unfortunately some of the rooms were abit dated and in need of some refurbishment however our stay in the bridal suit was very nice. This did not take away from the spectacular day that the staff here provided and the exceptional customer service that they provided! All in all I highly recommend Limply Stoke Hotel as a beautiful venue to host your special day and Karen is truly an asset to both the hotel and your wedding!

Nice friendly staff, location is a little isolated but good if you want quiet. Hotel is very good as a base for days out to many attractions in the nearby area. Food I would say is fine but nothing amazing. Our room was a little tired and when we arrived after a long hot 6 hour journey couldn't believe there was no complimentary water (COME ON, guys you can do better than that!!!!) and the wife noticed one single complimentary biscuit each by the kettle ( tut tut! ). First impressions count, so, staight away we noticed the sink was badly cracked, wall dented, curtain ripped and the impressively large bed was lumpy and hard. Having said all that though , we did sleep very well and had an enjoyable stay (go figure?). Even though staff were professional and polite, one little incident really annoyed my wife on our last breakfast day, I think it was the manager, trying to be helpful he suggested putting 2 pieces of bread through the toaster at once and rearranged the bread with his hands. NEVER never, manhand someone's food, especially my wife's. This really grated on her through breakfast.

A very big hotel that is in need of some refreshing and updating in places as it looks tired. Rooms were clean but compact. Set in a beautiful valley, although narrow roads to get to the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. I am a coeliac so need gluten free food and they were very helpful and able to supply it, although do check items as well, as one thing I was offered would be cooked with non gluten free food. Only one ground floor mobility room. There is a lift between floors but also lots of steps. Be aware they do weddings so it can be very busy and they have discos.

The hotel was convenient for a wedding in Bath. It is a bit tired and old fashioned but suited its purpose. Our family room was quite cramped considering it was a family room. The views from the terrace are pretty and worth enjoying a drink on the terrace. The breakfast was good and the pastries were fresh. I liked the quirkiness of the layout and found myself on the wrong floor on occasion 😁.
