Eastwood Lodge stands on high ground overlooking Bath, a former gardener's lodge that commands views across the city towards the Georgian architecture that draws visitors here. The detached cottage sits within its own grounds with a garden, patio and a rooftop terrace where those views stretch furthest. Walking down into Bath takes about 10 minutes; the return journey is steeper and takes longer, but the setting rewards you with genuine countryside at your back door and the urban bustle of the city easily reached on foot.
Inside, the ground floor holds a living room with a woodburner, a separate dining room and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Upstairs are two bedrooms—a double and a single—and a shower room. Essentials like electricity, bed linen and towels are included; heating runs on gas (charged separately in winter months). A washer-dryer is plumbed in. Parking for one car is available 200 yards away via a field path.
The location suits walkers especially. Prior Park and Dyrham Park are nearby, as are Longleat, Cheddar Gorge, Wells Cathedral and Glastonbury Tor for day trips. Shops lie half a mile down the hill. The garden includes a pond and steps leading to the field path. Smoking is not permitted inside.
