About Brindleys

Six rooms are all Brindleys offers, which keeps things personal rather than pared back. This B&B sits on Pulteney Gardens in Bath, in a quiet residential spot that still leaves the city centre within easy walking distance, and free on-site parking removes one of the usual headaches of visiting Bath by car.

Rooms are comfortable and modern, fitted with en-suite bathrooms and good quality bedding and towels, plus drinks available in room. Breakfast is a genuine highlight, with fresh fruit and eggs cooked properly rather than as an afterthought, and staff are on hand around the clock at 24 hour reception to help with anything from luggage storage to local recommendations. A garden and outdoor seating area give guests somewhere to sit outside the room, and free WiFi covers the practical side of a stay.

Beyond the doorstep there's a good spread of pubs, bars, restaurants and entertainment nearby, along with a golf course for those wanting to fill a free afternoon. It adds up to a straightforward, well-run base for exploring Bath without needing to rely on taxis or buses to get into the centre.

Last minute booking here with my girlfriend for 2 nights while on a random road trip. 10/10 price, location, breakfast, staff, room. For the money it is superb. I much prefer these smaller places over big hotels, you always get a much more personal experience and I chose Brindleys mostly on the basis that it offered a well reviewed breakfast, after another place left my girlfriend a little disappointed in that regard. Met by warm and welcoming staff. Led to a lovely room, upgraded as they were quieter, which I am grateful for. Decor was decent and modern, heating was warm, bedding/towels were of high quality and clean, everything was just right. Location is quiet and walkable to anything you would want to visit in the centre: nothing is more than 10-15minutes. I feel Brindleys is very good value for money in this regard, especially considering the quality of the breakfast. My partner is Brazilian and she loved the traditional quaint British style of the breakfast dining area and the breakfast itself, particularly the fruit and the eggs, which is a real compliment as breakfast is her favourite and often only main meal. I have to agree with her and I never eat breakfast, only when we travel - the eggs were perfectly cooked, the bacon was delicious, and the fruit was remarkably fresh, as good as any breakfast I have had anywhere on our travels in the World. I would stay here again quite happily.

Beautiful guest house, cosy, comfy, clean and welcoming. The hosts were super friendly and the breakfast was amazing. It was only a 10 minute walk into the centre, but overnight was very peaceful. The only issue was expensive parking on the road, but that was set by the council, so not much they could do about that. Probably cheaper to find a local 24hr car park. Overall this was a 5 star experience.

Wonderful find tucked away in a residential area 10-15 walk from the town center and train station. Stayed in the twin room which was beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds. The en-suite had a good shower. It was very quiet at night, so we had a great nights sleep. The manager is very friendly, and breakfast is superb. Would definitely stay here again. The B&B is a converted house, so clothing and luggage storage space in the room was a little limited. This was fine for a short stay with overnight bags, but would have been a bit cramped if we were traveling with larger luggage.

We stayed here for three nights this summer and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Tina was lovely and made us feel incredibly welcome, the breakfast was excellent, water pressure was fantastic (as a german, nothing is more annoying than trying to take a shower with only a dribble coming out of the tap), our room was spotless and the duvet super comfy! If you like antique decorations and small family owned B&Bs, Brindleys is the place for you :) And all the tourist attractions were within walking distance, which was also a plus.
