Grosvenor Villa

This is the best hotel we've ever stayed in in the UK! The atmosphere is steeped in history and reminiscent of Jane Austen, who likely visited this castle. Every detail here speaks to the uniqueness and inimitability of this place. Our arrival was simply magical. From the very first moment, we were captivated by the beauty and sophistication of the hotel. The room exceeded all our expectations: it was incredibly cozy, spotlessly clean, and so comfortable that we didn't even want to leave. Special thanks to Richard, our most hospitable host. His attention to detail, genuine care, passion, and respect for history made our stay exceptional. He created an atmosphere in which we felt like true guests, not just guests. His warmth and charm are what make this hotel so special. This experience was one of the best of our lives. If you're dreaming of a place where luxury meets charm, this hotel is just what you need. We had a wonderful stay here at the Grosvenor Villa in Bath. Highly recommend, in every aspect. Richard was a terrific host, great sense of humour and we enjoyed his company. The B&B was exceptional throughout, period elegance and no expense spared in the quality of furnishings etc. We would be very happy to return and stay again. (Four nights) ideal location.

We paid £200 for the room that was up 2 long steep flights of steps at the top of the building. I struggled with my bad knee. I never envisaged a room being right at the top of the building, I should have asked beforehand. The room was ok. There was a large 4 poster bed but the rest of the room was pretty average. At breakfast there is a continental menu. There were some very cold boiled eggs, a couple of pastries and some cerial. You can have porridge if requested. If I pay £200 I expect a lot more choice. The breakfast was very poor. Be aware there is no parking at the Villa with the exception of obe parking space at the rear which was occupied during our stay. You have to park on one of the local streets. Be aware that I the near future all the surrounding streets will become permit parking which may increase the price of the stay. I felt ripped off paying £200 for my stay and would never stay there again.

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful and spectacular the place was — every detail was perfect. The room was stunning, spotless, and so comfortable that we didn’t want to leave! A special shoutout to Richard, our amazing host. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and entertained us with some truly wonderful stories. His warmth and personality made our stay even more memorable. Honestly, this was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a place that’s both luxurious and full of charm, this is the one. We can’t wait to come back!
