Hyatt Regency Birmingham

Stayed for a few days for work. Rooms were well air-conditioned; amenities clean and comfortable. All of the staff were really warm and lovely, willing to help. In particular Pooja from reception was great at handling my questions - I am quite anxious, but she was able to put me at ease and was very hospitable/kind. Also of note during my stay was one of the bartenders, who was super lovely (so sorry I didn't ask for your name!). Super happy to come back - if I return to Birmingham on my own time I would consider staying here again.

Christina and Farouq saved me at 4 am and Blossom and Youssef are taking very good care of me 🥹🫶🏻 as I am still at the hotel checked in, but I couldn’t wait till check out to add a review. I was going through an accommodation crisis at 2-4 on Monday the 1st of June and I called and asked many hotels if they can check me in early because I just arrived to Birmingham after a 3 hour train ride to a student accommodation that had a big dead bug in the bed, as well as cob webs and dust bunnies and spiders in the room, all the other hotels refused and weren’t even willing to make an effort to help me and one person even mocked me, except Christina and Farouq (the manager) at Park Regis Birmingham 🥹. I spoke to Christina on the phone first and she was warm, sympathetic, helpful and delivered my concern to Farouq and he agreed to have me do an early check in at 4 am for an extra early check in fee of 40 pounds, I had no where to sleep and was exhausted as well as I had to attend first day at work at 9:30. I ended up having to call my boss and explain my situation to her and she kindly agreed to allow me rest that day. Blossom and Youssef at the restaurant at breakfast time were ever so wonderful and went above and beyond with their hospitality and positive welcoming smiles. I was also in rush for work and they helped me by putting food for me aside to have. In the previous nightmare of an accomodation that I ran away at 4 am, the receptionist was aggressive, didn’t know my room number and initially refused to call his manager and even blamed me for not knowing my room even though that’s not a guest’s job …🙂, I was truly just devastated to be welcomed that way while I was tired from travel and had suitcases. So checking in at Park Regis was like applying cool aloe vera on a burn. Farouq, Christina at the reception desk and Blossom and Youssef at breakfast in the restaurant are the true superstars of the Park Regis hotel in Birmingham. Their warmth and smiles are the cherry on top. I would highly advise the hotel to hold onto them very well by any friendly means necessary 👍🏼I’ve been travelling in the UK since December from one city to another from Blackpool to Manchester and Cambridge and Birmingham for my journey as a doctor and have been to many different hotels but unfortunately I can say only 4 other hotels had truly hospitable reception and staff (high end hotels included). Keep your hospitality as a strength and stand out from the rest. If you’re alone in the city, tired or would like to be dealt with gently and kindly by hotel employees, check in at this hotel 😊. It would also be nice to have a decent and reasonable package for longer stays, I need a booking for the whole of June and July without unnecessary or unneeded services like parking or daily breakfast or daily cleaning (perhaps make it weekly only) or even WiFi and gym access etc. and pickup and drop off laundry service or something similar as a deal with a laundry provider. I haven’t paid the spa or other facilities a visit yet so I can’t comment on them (if I do and have a review, I’ll edit the comment), but the hospitality makes this place feel like a home away from home to a traveler, and God knows I’ve missed having a warm, comfortable and spacious place to stay at. It’s such a beautiful hotel,so clean and peaceful. The staff are so polite and welcoming. The breakfast is to die for,I enjoyed it so much. And the staff in the restaurant were so kind and polite,especially the man in a suit while we had our breakfast. And also breakfast is a buffet,so much to choose from,it was a 10/10 for me. Absolutely amazing. Apart from how uncomfortable the bed was,everything else was fine.

We had a lovely stay, and a special thank you to Valerie at reception. She was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble, and she always greeted us with a smile. She really made us feel at home and is a credit to the hotel. Thank you, Valerie, for making our stay even more enjoyable!
