About Comfort Inn Birmingham

Walk into a room at the Comfort Inn Birmingham and you'll find a straightforward, comfortable setup with an en-suite bathroom, a bed that guests consistently rate as one of the hotel's strong points, and the option to have drinks brought to the room. It's a no-frills base rather than a luxury stay, and upkeep can be patchy in places, but for the price it delivers where it counts.

Beyond the 40 bedrooms, the hotel has a bar on site along with a small gym and meeting rooms, making it workable for business trips as well as short leisure breaks. There's a lift for easier access, free WiFi throughout, and staff who are generally described as friendly, even if service can be inconsistent. Parking isn't included on site, though chargeable parking can be found nearby.

The Station Street address puts guests within easy reach of Birmingham's city centre, with pubs, restaurants and other eateries close by, plus entertainment options for evenings out. The hotel also has facilities for weddings. It suits anyone after a fuss-free, well-located place to sleep rather than a polished, high-end experience.

The good bits. Great location, next to Birmingham train station, oriental restaurants and a wetherspoons pub (we didn't eat in any). The hotel was quite (i was on the 3rd floor) the room was clean, the bathroom was clean, the towels were clean, the bed was clean, the bed sheets were clean. I can't comment on the staff as my interaction with them was to get a key to the room and return the key the next day. The bad bits. This hotel is very run down, holes in the carpets on the stairs, the holes in the carpets, in the room we stayed in had gaffertape over them, the windows on the 3rd floor had not been cleaned inside or outsidefor some time, the handle on the bathroom door had screws missing. Everything was old, worn and tired! I would stay here again due to it's location.

We came to Birmingham for the weekend to just relax and have some fun. The rooms was clean, tidy, and good value for money. It is a walk away from everything and you in the centre in 2 or 3 minutes. Definitely stay there again. Good times

Stayed here last minute as other hotel I normally use was booked, price was relatively cheap at £54. However the room was a disgrace, there was a condom underneath the bed, now I never picked the bed up, I just moved it slightly across which the housekeeping should of done, there was a towel with a skid mark on it, I was absolutely disgusted. Went to tell the bloke on reception and he just smiled and shrugged his shoulders, in the morning the West Indian lady was very nice she was very apologetic but this is unacceptable.

Giving it two stars because it is a two star hotel and that's exactly what you get. Single glazed sash windows, brown stain on the bathroom ceiling, antiquated lift, no food service. The room was very clean however. The staff were nice and it's right by the station. Somehow I managed a decent night's sleep despite the air-conditioning units of the building next door going through the night. Don't stay here unless you're prepared for the absolute basics. I had to because it was works preferred choice because it's cheap.
