About Premier Inn Bridgwater North A38
Premier Inn Bridgwater North A38 suits anyone breaking a motorway journey or visiting on business rather than travellers after a country retreat. Right by the A38 with quick access to the M5, it's built for convenience, with free on-site parking making it an easy overnight stop before or after a drive through Somerset.
The hotel has 88 rooms across three floors, all with en-suite bathrooms, and accessible rooms are available. A restaurant serves breakfast and evening meals, drinks can be brought to your room, and reception is staffed around the clock. There's also an electric vehicle charge point on site. Staff are consistently helpful, and the hotel is well regarded for offering solid value, though some rooms have been reported as tired in places and prone to getting warm, so it's worth asking about this when booking.
Beyond the hotel, the Quantock Hills and Bridgwater town centre are both within reach, and the surrounding area offers golf, fishing, horse riding and entertainment, with a pub or bar nearby for an evening drink.
What guests say
What a beautiful place. Room was excellent, roomy, had everything you need. Lighting was something else, you got to stay to try. The shower was amazing, very big however be careful when getting out. Can be really slippery. Needs grab rails, expecially for disabled and a seat.. Not much t bags, sugar or milk supplied. Had coffee machine but didn't use. Bed was big and so comfortable but so high, need a step ladder to get on it (if your short). Will definitely stay again. We had meal deal and the food was really tasty and a bargain. Staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Will definitely stay again.

Stayed here for a week while working away. I’ll start with the positive — the front desk staff on check-in were absolutely spot on. Friendly, professional and welcoming. Upon entering the room it was generally clean, although there were a few issues, such as the tea and coffee holder clearly not being cleaned properly. Unfortunately, after check-in the stay went downhill. During the recent heatwave the rooms were unbearably hot to the point it became a genuine health concern for me due to asthma. It got so uncomfortable that I actually drove home some nights instead of staying in the hotel. No proper air conditioning in weather like that just isn’t acceptable anymore. If you’re on EE mobile network, forget about signal entirely here. Coverage was basically non-existent throughout my stay. Then there’s the WiFi situation. The “free” WiFi is capped at around 1Mbps, which is painfully slow in 2026. Streaming, working or even basic browsing becomes frustrating. What makes it worse is the hotel charging extra per day for usable internet speeds. Staying a full week and still wanting guests to pay daily for decent WiFi just feels like pure corporate greed. Honestly, save yourself the hassle and stay at the Ibis two minutes down the road. Cheaper rooms, faster internet, room service and air-conditioned rooms. Massive difference.

An all round brilliant stay in every way. Premier plus in the separate block was superb. I love the extra touches. The soaps and coffee etc and the little chocolate bars are brilliant. Both cuck chairs came in handy for our spectators and one of which was upholstered uniquely in an interesting pattern as pictured. Easy parking, and a simple location. Great staff and a warm welcome. Will stay again. No negatives here.

The restaurant and bar are now a lot smaller, although much more modern. The breakfast was cold and kept running out of options. Beer selection has vastly reduced. But the rooms were nice and it’s a great location. Friendly staff.
