About Leonardo Hotel Brighton
Brighton draws visitors for its pier, the winding shops of the Lanes and the domes of the Pavilion, and Leonardo Hotel Brighton puts guests within easy reach of all three while sitting conveniently close to the train station, useful for anyone arriving without a car since there's no parking on site.
The hotel has 234 rooms across five floors, generally spacious with comfortable beds, air conditioning and free WiFi, though some rooms show their wear and could do with fresher upkeep. Breakfast is a particular strength, with a varied buffet that guests return to each morning, and there's a restaurant and bar for meals and drinks without leaving the building. A gym is available for those keeping up a routine while away, and the on-site team is consistently helpful and friendly.
Beyond the hotel, the seafront area offers walking routes, watersports, fishing and golf nearby, along with plenty of pubs and restaurants for evenings out. It also functions as a wedding venue for those planning an event in the city. For a straightforward base for exploring Brighton, it covers the essentials well, even if the rooms themselves are not always immaculate.

What guests say
For the price we paid and considering this is a 4-star hotel, the experience was very underwhelming. The bathroom was not clean when we arrived, with small body hairs in the shower, on the floor, and on the sink, which was quite off-putting. The room was also not serviced until I specifically requested it at around 3pm, despite seeing the housekeeping trolley in the corridor both in the morning and just before 12pm. I ended up making the bed myself and cleaning the cups we had used. When I mentioned this at reception, the lady at the counter didn’t apologise and said room servicing was an additional service. This was surprising, as even most bed and breakfasts service your room as standard, so it’s difficult to understand why this wouldn’t be included in a 4-star hotel. The facilities themselves were good, but very overcrowded, especially the sauna. The swimming pool, however, was enjoyable. Overall, it didn’t feel like good value for money, and unfortunately I wouldn’t return. For the same price, there are much nicer and more attentive hotels or B&Bs available.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. I was warmly welcomed upon arrival, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The room was comfortable, the bed and mattress were excellent, and I slept very well throughout my stay. I also really enjoyed the breakfast, which offered a good variety of fresh and tasty options. Overall, I felt well looked after and appreciated the kindness and professionalism of the team. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable.

I had a wonderful one night at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And if I needed to come to Brighton again, I will definitely come here again. They kept my luggage for me for a few hours even though I’ve checked out. That was a brilliant service. Especially Mr. Alex, the receptionist. He was amazing with an awesome personality, professionalism and great welcoming. 💕

Absolutely a lovely hotel. Clean and comfortable all throughout from where I have walked. Breakfast and dinner lovely and enough choice for me. The staff are excellent that I have communicated with. If you can't have dairy, there is alternatives. I slept well while here. Bed really comfortable.
