About Number 75
The beach, the Lanes and Brighton's mix of pubs, bars and restaurants are all within easy reach of Number 75, on Middle Street. Walkers and cyclists have plenty of routes to explore nearby, and those after a slower day can find golf and fishing not far off too, making it a workable base whatever the plan for the day.
Number 75 offers en-suite rooms including family options, with drinks available in room and free WiFi throughout. Self check-in is straightforward and reception is staffed around the clock, which suits guests arriving at odd hours or wanting to come and go without fuss. Rooms are generally kept clean, though some have been reported as tired or affected by noise, so it's worth setting expectations accordingly rather than a plush boutique experience.
For food and drink, there's no shortage of options within walking distance, from casual eateries to bars and restaurants dotted around the surrounding streets. It works well as a straightforward, central place to sleep between days spent out exploring Brighton.

What guests say
Check ins here are handled by yourself, you get a door code and a code to the safe for your room key shortly before check in time. Instructions for the check in were easy to understand and the host was very nice. The building and rooms are quite old, but clean. Toilets and showers are shared. Everything is very minimaliatic, but functional. My room had good wifi (~50mbps up/down) a small TV equipped with a fire tv stick. In terms of location the street it is in isn't the prettiest, but it is right by the beach. Parking options nearby suck, but that is pretty much the case for all of Brighton. Would definitely recommend the place for the price, especially if you are looking to save on the accommodation because everything in Brighton is pretty expensive.

I would give 0 stars if I could! I will start with the worst to warn others: we brought home bedbugs from this 'hotel'. Both mornings we woke up with bites we stupidly assumed were from mosquitos, however a couple of days after we got home 2 (that we know of) fully grown fat bedbugs emerged from our suitcase we still had in our room. We are in the waiting period currently to see if they had time to start an infestation in our beautiful home in which case we will have to spent hundreds or even thousands of our own money getting our house professionally fumigated and possibly lose our brand new bed and mattress as well. Apart from the actual vermin you will take home from here, the place is dirty, noisy, disfunctional. We refused to drink out of the mugs provided, you have to plug in the kettle on the carpeted floor on a base that doesn't fit the kettle (fire hazard much) the curtain was so filthy neither one of us would touch it, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom sink is blocked, the shower doesn't work, it's either iced cold, scolding hot or no water at all, I had to soap myself up outside whilst my husband monitored the water and then I had to jump in for the 10seconds the temperature was tolerable..the bathroom light has motion sensors that go off after about 10 seconds so you end up doing a dance whilst sitting on the toilet just to get the privilege of light. And if you think 'well at least its cheap' we paid almost £400 for 2 nights for the privilege! I'd honestly rather sleep on the peddled beach next time I visit Brighton than visit this place again 🤢

I had a decent stay at Number 75 in Brighton. The check-in process was quite easy and convenient, with a straightforward self check-in system that made arrival simple. The room was clean and tidy, with fresh linens and useful amenities like tea and coffee facilities and a TV, which made the stay comfortable. It’s a more basic, no-frills place, but it has everything you need for a short stay. The biggest highlight is definitely the location—it’s amazing. Being right in the centre and just a minute from the beach, as well as close to shops, restaurants, and attractions like the Brighton Centre and The Lanes, makes it incredibly convenient for exploring the city There’s also free Wi-Fi, which worked well during my stay, and overall it offers good value for money if you’re looking for a simple place in a prime location. I’d recommend it for short stays where location matters most.

Do not stay here. Room stank, carpet stained and not clean. We weren’t comfortable taking our shoes off in the room or showering while we were there. We also left with bites. Walls a thin, so you hear everything. We left after the first night because we were so grossed out. Giving 4 stars for service as they did bring toilet paper promptly after I got stuck in the communal bathroom with no toilet paper. If you must stay here, bring flip flops for the showers. Decent location
