About Strawberry Fields

Strawberry Fields is a sizeable B&B with 27 rooms, offering straightforward, no-frills accommodation in Brighton, East Sussex. The property keeps things simple, with clean rooms and fresh linen provided throughout, though some rooms are on the smaller side and certain facilities are shared between guests.

Staying here gets you free WiFi, luggage storage and a 24 hour reception desk, useful for arrivals at any hour or for dropping bags before exploring. Staff are noted for being friendly and helpful, which goes some way towards the budget nature of the rooms themselves.

The location is one of the property's strongest points, sitting close to both the beach and Brighton's shops, with Brighton Centre nearby as a local point of interest and the wider town around 1.40 miles away. It suits travellers who want an affordable base near the seafront rather than a resort experience.

Nice clean rooms, the one we had didn't have the seaside view but was just a matter of seconds away from the hotel. Loads of shops nearby whether its fast food takeaways or local shops. Staff are friendly and very welcoming and are happy to answer any questions you have about your stay or room. My partner and I left our stuff in the room and we came back from a day out to find the beds were made and the tea, coffee and sugar was re stocked as well as new sheets, with none of our stuff being touched or taken. The only thing i would say about this hotel is the stairs need re-aligning as they are a bit wonky but other than that it's a fab place to stay that doesn't break the bank with plenty to do. Highly recommend.

Great hotel for a budget friendly trip. I was on a solo trip and my stay here was quite pleasant and eventful. What made it extra special was, it just takes a minute walk to the beach! I reach at the hotel at 2am and staff members were very cooperative!

Strawberry Fields is a great choice if you’re looking for a budget stay right by the sea. The building is ages old, but it’s very decent inside, the rooms are clean and the bed linen is fresh. The location in Kemptown is perfect, right in the heart of things and just a stone's throw from the Palace Pier. We were lucky enough to get a room with a sea view. For one of the most affordable places around, it’s a solid deal. If you're on a budget but want to be in the middle of the action and close to the sea, this is the place to be

Budget hotel right by the sea. The hotel was booked for us as we were volunteering at an event. Room was small but absolutely fine for just somewhere to crash during a busy weekend, we were in the attic with shared facilities but there’s a sink area and kettle with tea and coffee in the room. Room was very clean and well looked after, even under the bed (I dropped my phone and had to crawl under 😅) the shared toilet and shower rooms were very small but very clean (only problem was a man on the same floor kept leaving the seat up and missing the bowl but that’s the downside of a cheaper room with shared facilities, can’t control the other people on the same floor. The hotel does have rooms with en-suites so if this bothers you can pay a bit more for privacy. The shared shower room is very small and has about a foot of space in-front of the shower cubicle which if you’re taller than me (5’3”) or on the larger side might not be able to bend down or move around very easily. The reception staff I spoke to on the phone and in person were all very helpful, the person that checked us in very kindly helped us up with our heavy suitcases of merch for the event right up to the top floor, thank you for that! Overall a nice stay, hotel was quiet despite it being a weekend, later on in the summer might be a bit different as this was the first good weekend of the year.
