This was my first time staying here. And though a good 20 minute walk from the conference centre where I attended Sunday to Thursday I didn’t mind the walk but next time will look at taking a bus as there is a bus stop literally opposite the hotel. Was such a beautiful and luxurious experience. The bedroom was equipped with air conditioning, a safe, mini fridge iron and iron board, some sort of a robot, automatic water filter and tea coffee making facilities. The bedding, towelling and carpet etc was luxurious and clean. The shower too was powerful brilliant. The only thing is they don’t offer extra toiletries like shower cap or lotion etc. The breakfast was amazing. Something for ever including vegetarian options and dairy free etc. The only downside with the breakfast was that breakfast is a bit late and with a 8am start that meant I had to rush to make 9am conference but next time I’ll consider public transport. Other than this a lovely hotel that I’ll highly recommend. The staff were all polite friendly and professional especially Lily and Mihaela.

I have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions and have previously received excellent rooms, which is why I chose to return again. On this occasion, however, I paid a higher rate and was extremely disappointed with the room allocation offered. I was presented with only two options: one room facing a wall with no natural light, and another on the ground floor, neither of which are acceptable given the rate paid or my previous experiences at this property. I was informed that this was due to the hotel being fully booked and my check-in time of 16:00, despite the official check-in time being 15:00. I do not consider this a reasonable justification for the significant downgrade in room quality, particularly for a returning guest paying a premium rate. This experience falls well below the standard I have come to expect from this hotel. I would appreciate a clear explanation of why no suitable room was reserved or allocated, and what steps will be taken to ensure this does not happen again on future stays.

Absolutely gorgeous room, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The location is a 10 minute walk from the Lanes and 10min walk to the Concord 2, which was perfect for us. It's in a quiet spot but very close to all the fun that Brighton had to offer.

Definitely not a five-star hotel, very overpriced for what you get. The first sign was the worn and stained carpet in the reception area. The rooms are ok but very basic - there were chunks missing from the paint, dents in the tables, stains on the bed cover, the ba worn and the mirror lights didn't work. Our room was cold and the radiator did nothing, even though we were told it was on a timer. They had to bring up a radiator for us to plug in. The kettle and coffee maker had no plug near them, so ended up having to put them on the floor. The noise from the plumbing was very loud, we could hear other rooms flush their toilet and clear speaking from rooms around us. Beds were old and mattress overly bouncy, pillows not firm or comfortable. If this was a 3 star (or pushing it, a 4 star) hotel I'd accept that. I've stayed in less expensive hotels in London city centre that were of a much higher quality. Didn't use the spa so can't comment on it. On the plus side the location is very good.
