What diners say
This is the closest thing to the elite of American burger and bbq joints I've ever encountered in this country. To be clear - I've been to all 50 states, this burger is better than anything you can get in America. Unbelievable depth of flavour. The crisp was sensational. The rice pudding dessert was also amazing. The deep fried mac n cheese was good, but I'd say not exceptional like everything else. Service was outstanding. Love this place, will be back over and over.

Really enjoyed our meal, and the knowledge and passion of the team. The flavours are bold and varied (which I love). The Stracciatella was absolutely banging (wanted to lick the plate... pretty much did). Loved the chicken leg and the picanha (the wow-wow sauce lived up to its name). The smoked coronation mayo with the potatoes was also spot on. The spicy margarita style cocktail was also ordered several times. Good couple of wines to quaff too.

A great addition to Brixton, my favourite in the area. Really cool concept and tasty food as well. Great service too! They don’t include service charge so we added another 12%. Generally think people would be more than happy to pay service charge considering the service felt very genuine

Whole Beast Brixton nails the cheeseburger like few places in London. Their award-winning aged cheeseburger features a beautifully caramelised patty delivering perfect dry-age funk — savoury, beefy, and crispy-edged. Layered with melted cheese, diced white onion, pickles, and their house sauce (with tasty dill-and-chilli mayo notes), it’s incredibly juicy and balanced. One of those burgers that stops conversation mid-bite — gone far too quickly, yet utterly memorable. That said, portions on some of the other dishes could be a touch bigger given the prices. I love the prawn corn bread, had a great taste and I will say the pale ale drink was served really well but way too expensive. Lovely staff and customer service - the place itself needs air conditioning. Overall, I thought the experience was really good, the burger and prawn dish amazing but for the price the portions should be bigger.
