About Novotel Cardiff Centre
Families after a pool to splash about in, business travellers needing meeting space, and sports fans heading to the stadium all find something to suit at Novotel Cardiff Centre. With 138 rooms across five floors, including family and accessible options, it's built to handle a wide range of trips without fuss, and pets are welcome too.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning, and while some are a little dated in style, they're kept spacious and clean. Breakfast draws praise for its range of choices, and there's also a restaurant, bar and snack bar for other meals, with room service, packed lunches and kids' meals available. The leisure side of things is a genuine strength, with an indoor pool, sauna and steam room, plus a gym for anyone keen to keep up a routine. Staff are consistently described as friendly and attentive, which helps smooth over the rough edges.
Business services and meeting rooms make it a workable choice for conferences, while golf, fishing and horse riding are all available nearby for those with more time to fill, alongside pubs and restaurants close by. On-site parking is available, though it comes at an extra charge. Overall, it's a practical, well-located option for Cardiff, whatever the reason for the visit.
What guests say
Warm welcome at check in and bed was very comfortable. Room was clean but definitely in need of some updates as a worn looking. Steam room and pool were pleasant although sauna smelled a little of urine. Breakfast was tasty enough, although not a huge variety of cooked items. Great location for getting to the centre of town and the train station on foot.

A wonderful stay from start to finish. David and Anthony were incredibly friendly, professional and attentive from our very first interaction, making us feel genuinely welcome. Barbara and Ana at reception were also fantastic, always helpful and happy to assist, with Barbara even recommending a nice place for dinner. The hotel is well located, comfortable and definitely a place we would happily return to. Many thanks to the whole team for their excellent hospitality.
