We stayed at Arkale Lodge for one night as a stopover on our journey to Scotland with friends and family, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Ishwar and Sabita were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely went above and beyond to help us. We were one room short for our group, and they somehow managed to arrange an extra room for us at short notice, which we really appreciated. We were also carrying some frozen food, and they kindly made space in their fridge to store it for us. Nothing was too much trouble, and their kindness and generosity made us feel right at home. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent—fresh, delicious, and the perfect start to our journey. If you're looking for a friendly, comfortable place to stay with exceptional hospitality, I highly recommend Arkale Lodge. Thank you, Ishwar and Sabita, for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again whenever we're in the area!

We choose this lodge as a layover for our Scotland trip but the hospitality of the host took us by surprise. Ishwar was very prompt in answering any question and even guided us to the parking. The lodge was very quite and area was peaceful. The morning breakfast was cooked as per your choice you choose from the menu, so its pipping hot served on the table. They were very kind and moderated it according to my son's taste, which we're very grateful of. And the Tea( it reminded me of Darjeeling Tea- Best Tea of India) is the best! Hopefully we'll be coming back again, if we are planning a trip up North.

Location is great for access to city centre but in a slightly run down neighbourhood with pubs and houses unoccupied-bedroom clean. Breakfast amazing. Good choice and nice food with perfectly cooked eggs and bacon. Hot water. Staff lovely and helpful. Beds firm for good nights sleep. They were flexible about our dog arriving unexpectedly-and charged only a tenner.
