Friendly and helpful staff at check in. Room was very clean and tidy. there was no view from our room, but that doesn't bother us. Plenty storage space for our clothes...big bed and spacious room. Bathroom very clean, and the shower is amazing and powerful! Towels are bit on the small side though!. Breakfast was very nice...good selection of continental and cooked food. A great cup of tea!! Staff again very friendly and helpful. The pool was an ok size...was nice and cool for a dip but the room itself was very warm. Good jacuzzi, changing room was tiny with just 1 shower. We would definitely be back at this hotel....it's very central to the city, historic buildings, shops and restaurants. Enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you 😊

I enjoyed this little hotel. While there were things that dated the room - they have been kept in such good condition it was actually rather charming. Rooms were a fantastic size and the whole hotel is worth a wander as it's steeped in history.

I met three staff during my stay, Maggie, Kelly and Ian - the really are lovely people. Despite a busy shift they still made time to make me feel welcome. We had wonderful discussions on the historic hotel which has history going back hundreds of years, from the Jacobite Rebellion to an American President and even the Queen of England! The original marble and woodwork are visible throughout the building. A historic masterpiece. I absolutely intend to come back! Thanks all! Best wishes, Dr Alexander

+5 star review incoming!+ Really loved this hotel. Such a fabulous building right in the centre of town, yet quiet. The staff were all friendly yet utterly professional. Our room was quaint and a bit quirky but I adore these features. Not a modern hotel , the lift is wonderfully eccentric. There is a sense of timeless quality in every aspect. Will definitely return. 💯
