Cartref

Abergele sits within easy reach of the mountains that draw walkers year-round. Cartref is a substantial detached house, originally built as a Victorian vicarage and now restored as a holiday home. The A5 runs nearby, putting you between Betws-y-Coed and Capel Curig—both villages with their own appeal, from cafés and shops to outdoor attractions. Direct access to walking routes up Snowdon means the mountain is genuinely on the doorstep.

The house has four bedrooms across two storeys: three doubles and a bedroom with twin singles. Three bathrooms (two ensuite, plus a main bathroom with a roll-top bath) mean less queuing. Downstairs holds two living areas—one with an open fire, the other with a wood-burning stove and patio doors onto the garden—plus a kitchen with an oil range and dishwasher. Laundry facilities are available. Each bedroom has a television. The rear garden is elevated and overlooks the surrounding countryside, with a terrace, patio and chiminea; note there are 12 steps down to it. Parking is on site. One dog is welcome.

Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, as is fuel for both fires. You have the whole property to yourselves. No smoking inside. Families, couples and those on regular holidays are the usual guests.

Council going into residents house taking pictures of the house inside when vunarable adults are in. This is unfair not good . Leaving no name ,number or explanation or what is going on . This could be a scam and upsetting for the adults stressing the vunarable adults inside the house. A responsible adult should of been informed first. Council know that there is vunarable adults in the house and should be informed of council coming round. Not good customer care

Just ignored me and the fact that I am disabled. Took them days to remove old bed and the manager Paul was off ill again. Nothing was done about myself needing help no matter what I told them.
