Gwernol

Gwernol is a stone-built end terrace in Dolwyddelan village, positioned where the Gwydir Forest and Snowdonia meet. The cottage has an unfenced stream ten yards away, which matters if you're traveling with children or dogs. Two bedrooms sleep four: upstairs, a super king and two singles; downstairs, the main living space opens onto a courtyard with patio and garden. An open fire and multi-fuel burner heat the ground floor; electric heating covers the rest. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, and there's a bathroom with bath and shower. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included, along with initial fuel for the burners.

The location suits walkers and cyclists. Cwm Penamnen, a quiet valley, is accessible on foot or with a bike. Dolwyddelan Castle stands in the village itself. A pub and shop sit quarter of a mile away; a restaurant is half a mile. The railway station in Dolwyddelan allows you to reach Betws-y-Coed, Llanrwst and Llandudno without driving. Bounce Below and Zip World at Blaenau Ffestiniog are five miles off. The beach lies twenty miles away. One dog stays free; smoking is not permitted.
