Bwthyn y Nant suits families or small groups wanting a genuine retreat in Snowdonia rather than a base for constant activity. The cottage itself is traditional—a terraced Welsh stone building with character—but the interior mixes original features with modern essentials: a wood-burning stove, WiFi, a television, and a kitchen equipped for actual cooking rather than reheating. Two bedrooms upstairs hold a king bed, a single, and a double, sleeping five. One bathroom with a walk-in shower serves the household.
The hot tub under a gazebo is the draw. It overlooks the garden and the hills beyond, making it genuinely pleasurable on autumn or winter evenings when the log burner is also on inside. The garden has enough space for outdoor furniture if the weather allows. A cul-de-sac location means the lane outside is quiet. Parking for two cars is on the lane itself. Walking and cycling routes start from the doorstep; Bodlondeb Park is nearby, and Snowdonia National Park opens out around you. The nearest town is Conwy. Electricity, WiFi, bed linen and towels are included. The hot tub must not be used after 9pm, and smoking is not permitted. A starter pack of logs for the fire is provided.

Lovely week away, great cottage and brilliant location, will definitely be back next year, the pubs are great for the beer we like too and the people are so friendly.
