Tides Reach

Tides Reach is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom property sleeping four in Fowey, Cornwall, set high enough to overlook the estuary where the river meets the sea. Everything you need for self-catering is provided: the kitchen has a gas cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer; there's a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room; heating, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included. A cot and highchair are available if needed.

The ground floor holds the first bedroom with a king bed and ensuite shower, while upstairs is an open-plan living and dining space with a 46-inch Smart TV and DVDs, alongside the second bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with bath and shower. The elevated terrace and garden furniture overlook the water and towards Polruan. A sandy beach and paddling pool are yards away, and the southwest coastal path runs past the front. There is parking for one car on site, and the property is no-smoking. Note there are ten steep steps at the rear and a steep drop from the terrace.

Fowey itself has restaurants, riverside cafes, galleries, tea rooms and local shops all within walking distance. The town hosts a literary festival in May and the Royal Regatta in August. The Eden Project is nearby, and fishing is available locally.
