Ashgrove

Braithwaite is a quiet village on the edge of the Lake District, where the fells rise dramatically behind the houses and walking routes start from the doorstep. A shop sits within 100 yards, and The Golden Dragon pub is close by. From here you can walk into Newlands Valley or climb towards Catbells and Skiddaw without needing to drive anywhere first.

Ashgrove has three bedrooms and one bathroom, sleeping six guests in a whole property to yourselves. A porch at the entrance keeps muddy boots and wet coats separated from the main rooms. The lounge and dining area provides comfortable seating and space to gather for meals; the kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering. Outside, the garden attracts birds and wildlife, with enough space to sit and watch the light fade after a day walking. Wifi, bed linen, towels and electricity are included. No smoking.
