Bag End

The fells rise within walking distance of Bag End, and Keswick's centre—with its lake, theatre, and restaurants—is equally close. You're on the first floor of a restored period building, with everything you need for a week away: two bedrooms (one kingsize, one with bunks), a bathroom with bath and shower, and a fully fitted kitchen where you can actually cook. Bed linen, towels, wifi and heating are all covered.

The apartment blends original features—ornamental fireplaces, a cast-iron range, stone mullioned windows—with modern appliances: dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer. There's a 55-inch TV in the living room, parking for one car on site, and a pub within a mile. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The bunk bedroom suits children; if you need a travel cot, ask when you book. Smoking is not permitted.
