Royal Oak House is a second-floor apartment in what was once the Royal Oak Hotel, right in the centre of Keswick. The two bedrooms—a king and a twin—each have their own television, and both are served by separate bathrooms with heated towel rails. The living and dining space benefits from dual-aspect windows framing views towards Causey Pike and Walla Crag; the bay window over the dining table is the obvious spot for morning coffee before a day out.

The kitchen is equipped for cooking, though Keswick's restaurants, cafes and pubs are steps away. Wifi and heating are included. A single parking space outside makes it simple to explore on foot from there: Derwent Water is within walking distance, and the town's outdoor shops, independent retailers and cultural venues—the Theatre by the Lake, the cinema—are all close by. The property is on the second floor with no lift access, and smoking is not permitted.
